I had the wonderful opportunity of going to Boot Camp with some amazing girls and leaders and survived to tell about it! So here is just a glimmer of what I experienced...On the first day, we started with a hike to Pettit Lake. It was there that Dayna climbed a tree with a rope swing and took the plunge. The lake was beautiful. The mountains were covered with wildflowers. The girls tried their first Sego Lily bulb. "kinda like a potato," "gross." After the hike we headed to Redfish Lake. We played in the water, rented paddle boats, and enjoyed the sunshine. It was nice to feel clean, cleaner...

After the lake, we headed to Pioneer Outfitters for a horse ride. Yee Haw! It was fun watching Lane pair the girls with their horses by personality and experience. While they were riding, Sister McDictator (Jan), Bishop, Brother Larsen, and I went to the Fish Hatchery to watch the Salmon jump the ladders. It was amazing! The power and instinct within them to get home. So many spiritual analogies there.

Here is the notorious "Rayna and Diley." I was lucky enough to ride with Dayna. On the way up her Suburban overheated and on the way back we pulled over before it got bad. What a lesson on mechanics! Here we are waiting for the engine to cool outside Horseshoe Bend.
We had a great week! Great food (dutch oven, tacos in a bag, little smokies with biscuits, ect.,etc.), fun activities (hiking, swimming, horses, fish hatchery, crafts, and of course for the girls checking out every boy they could), inspiring devotionals (based on our theme:BOOT CAMP or Building Our Own Testimonies), and sisterly bonding (learning new SKILLS and laughing all hours of the night! and sharing and building testimony). Thank you Allison for the fake snake in the outhouse that scared me everytime even though I knew it was there! I love these girls and their leaders! I came back from Boot Camp strengthened in my testimony and rededicated to my role as a wife and mother!
