On the 4th day of Christmas...

The Dahl family went to the 1st Presidency Christmas Devotional. We went to a re-broadcast at our Stake Center at 8:00. We were the only ones there. The kids thought that was pretty cool, except they thought it gave them some type of permission to crawl under benches and bench hop. I don't think so.

Here is a link to the broadcast. http://www.lds.org/broadcast/christmas/0,6609,4617-1-81-1561,00.html

The devotional was amazing! I just kept thinking to myself, "Why can't Christmas fell like this?" I feel bombarded by the world and its false expectations and magical emptiness. The devotional reminded me of what Christmas is truly about! We have been given the most precious gift: Our Savior Jesus Christ. Because of him we can start over, we can try again to do better, we can have true peace, true hope through his love and great sacrifice for us. What a precious gift! The greatest gift of the season.

Dang...we should have gone. But realistically, the girls were already in bed by 8:00. And the 6:00 broadcast was right in the middle of dinner. Maybe when they are older we'll get to do fun things?!?
