MONDAY
Happy 7th Birthday Jack!! This year his birthday fell on a Saturday, lucky boy...no school! He opened gifts first thing in the morning, played Wii Mario Cart all day, ate his requested dinner of spaghetti and french bread, and had Lego birthday cake. Life is good. Oliver got him a notebook, Henry a Wii stearing wheel, Elsie some slime, and Norah got him some bouncy balls. G & G Dahl sent him $20. He thinks he is loaded! The day before his birthday we took him out him out of school to go out for lunch. He chose McDonalds. He and Elsie had a ball playing on the toys. Then, on Monday, we took Ding Dongs to his class for birthday treats. Fun! I can't believe that Jack is 7!! Jack is a fun, energetic, lovable kid. He loves to play games of every kind. He keeps things lively!
Monday Evening

When I told Elsie I was going to take a picture she immediately started posing and smiling, funny girl!
Elsie had her spring dance recital "Dancing Through the Ages." They are so small and so cute! Elsie is the one in the black in the front with her hair pulled back into a bun. She LOVES to dance!
TUESDAY
I went to our last PTA meeting and to my surprise I was awared the "PTA Volunteer of the Year" I really couldn't believe it!! As I looked around the room I saw other women who I thought had done so much more!! I was awarded for my work with our Chess Group. We had about 120 students, every Wednesday morning for about 20 weeks and then our big tournament. I also got a grant for a First Lego League team and coached them every week and then went to a tournament. All of this while I was pregnant with Norah. I think that is what swayed them my way:) It was all so fun. I enjoyed what I was doing, didn't think much about it.
WEDNESDAY

Reflections Award Ceremony
For the 2nd year, Oliver participated in the "Reflections" program. This year he wrote a song on the piano entitled "Sailboat Adventure." He had to write out the music as well. He did great! His song went from school to region, winning the Award for Excellence, to State winning the Award of Merit. He has already started working on another song for next year.
THURSDAY
Norah is now a MONTH old!! She is growing up way to fast. Today we pulled out the swing. She loves it! Hooray for the swing!!THURSDAY
FRIDAY
Henry went to Rendevous with all of the 4th graders in the Meridian School district, about 3,000. This is the picture that he took of himself. I love it! Henry's favorite part was the trading post. He was able to spend his "trapper dollars" that he had earned in the classroom for good behavior. He got a arrowhead necklace and a boomerang. At the Rendevous he learned about native Idaho plants, panned for gold, and saw Civil War re-enactors that blew a cannon every hour. One of the great highlights of being a 4th grader!
