We did it!!
Here are the Geeks lining up for the "Parade of Teams"
Oliver, Derek, Evan, Daric, Ewan, & Nathan
Here they are lined up and ready for their presentation. Don't they look great! What an amazingly talented, fun group of boys. They are great!
These guys fought hard today!! In the morning both their practice round and 1st round of the Robot Game didn't go so well. All kinds of little glitches. They set that aside and scored big in the Robot design, Core Values, and Presentation. Our 2nd round went better and then the 3rd round we did some rearranging of the programs and lucked out at the end!! We came up 3rd with 130 points!
As we sat during the Awards Assembly, we watched all of the trophies go to everyone but us, until the very last one. The most distinguished award-"Champions Award." This award reflects high marks in each of the 4 competition areas. When they called out name I just about cried! They worked soooo hard.
Go Geeks!! Moscow here we come...
