How to build an outdoor fire pit

Step 1: Have an incredible husband like Eric who is up to crazy ideas. Pick a spot and dig a BIG hole.

2. Buy some pavers or bricks. What great boys I have!! Willing to take on another crazy mom idea!!

3. Start layering your first row of bricks. Note: we looked all over the internet for a simple outdoor fire pit instructions, nada. Crazy, huh!

4. Even out the dirt on the outside and fill in as needed.

5. Add top pavers. Isn't it looking great! See mom does have some great ideas. We could smell our neighbor BBQing and were thinking hot dogs and smores couldn't come fast enough.

6. Second, and last, layer. Hooray! Oliver was such a great help. We ended up 2 short and so Oliver and I headed back to the store. Not bad for a bunch of amateurs.

Oliver placing the final brick!!

We did it. Not bad. I am looking forward to some great family nights with this thing. Hopefully we won't get in trouble for building a fire....
