Jack's Baptism

Jack's Baptism Day

BEFORE AFTER

What a special day for Jack and for our family! Baptisms are a wonderful time to reflect on what we believe and how are lives reflect those beliefs. I asked family members to write a note to Jack telling him what baptism means to them personally. These wonderful cards are full of testimony and love. One of them is from his Great-Grandma Wrigley.

They will be a GREAT treasure to Jack!

After the baptism we came back to the house for a BBQ and dutch oven. We had to take pictures, of course!! I am so glad that my dad was able to come. My mom was in Moscow, Idaho celebrating my sister, Lindsay's graduation from Nursing school. I consider my dad one of the GREAT men in my life! What a blessing to have an honorable man and priesthood holder for a father! He and Jack have a special bond and so I was glad that he could come and witness Jack's baptism and stand in the circle for his confirmation. Love you Dad!!

Eric's parents, and our neice, LC, also came for this special day. It is wonderful to have such a supportive family. Elsie and LC had so much fun playing together and chasing the chickens around the yard! They are good buddies.

Funny story:

Later that day, Jack did something to make Elsie mad and she went crying into the living room saying "I thought all of his sins were washed away!"

This is a day that will go down in the books. Jack has entered the gate and has begun his journey on the path back to our Heavenly Father. Before I know it he will be receiving the Aaronic Priesthood and then becoming an Elder and serving a mission!! Until then, one day at a time trying to choose the right, repenting, and improving along the way...
