Happy 11th Birthday Henry!!

Top 10 Things We Love About Henry

1. Henry is the great protector of Norah. He is the first to get her when she cries and continually plays and loves on her. What a GREAT big brother!!

2. Henry loves scouts and is excited to join the Boy Scouts with Oliver. He is already looking forward to his first meeting on Wednesday and his first campout next weekend!! This month at the Cub Scout pack meeting he will receive his Arrow of Light! Way to go Henry!

3. Jack and Henry are best buddies and worst enemies in the blink of an eye. But, when they are getting along it is amazing to watch. They build all kinds of Lego creations, play on the wii, play chess, and other wild wall ball games in their room-As their room shakes and crashes, I prefer not to see what they are doing :)

4. School does not come easy to Henry, yet he works soooo hard. The past couple months they have been working on the big PACE program. He was so nervous, but he got right to work and worked really hard. He did GREAT!

5. Henry is very creative. He builds all kinds of amazing lego creations, especially space vehicles and other forms of transportation. I am continually awed at what he comes up with.

6. Henry is a worker and a go getter. If he really wants something there is nothing that will stop him. For a long time he has wanted a cell phone. One day he found one thrown out in our yard. He soon discovered that my old phone battery worked in the phone and also my recharger-when does that ever happen??? Only for Henry! Also, I must add that when it comes to the fastest slides and rides at the water park and amusement parks he is first in line!

7. Two weeks ago, Henry participated in the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. He had a very cool car. Although he lost, he showed incredible sportmanship.

8. Henry is a GREAT friend. He has some fun friends that he hangs out with from school and also from church. He is a pretty easy going, likable, fun kid to play with.

9. Henry has discovered that he LOVES "dippy." Olive oil seasoned with yummy seasonings dipped with French bread. YUMMY! He loves it!

10. Henry is an absolutely wonderful, amazing, fun, terrific son. We are so happy that he is a part of our family!! Oh, how we love our Henry!!

Henry had a GREAT day. He started out eating his favorite cereal "Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries." Then headed off to school after a week off for Spring Break. At noon, Elsie, Norah and I picked him up from school and picked up a sausage/cheese pizza from Papa Johns as requested for lunch. I sent him back to school with Ding Dongs for his class to celebrate his birthday. That evening, as soon as Eric walked in the door, Henry was ripping open his presents. He was sooooo excited! As tradition, I take the kids to the Dollar Store to get a gift for the birthday kid. It allows them to think about that person and give them something. Oliver got Henry a wii tennis racket, Jack a trick pack of gum that squirts water, Elsie a 3-d cell phone, and Norah a giant calculator. LOVE the Dollar Store!! G&G Dahl sent him $20 cash-Yeah! Eric and I got Henry a scout shirt and scout handbook (boring I know, but necessary) and then went in on a Super gift with Grandma & Grandpa Holmstead....a Lego Space Shuttle. It was marked ages 16+ but I know he can do it!! As soon as it was opened he was down the hall into his room putting it together. For dinner he requested Eric's grilled hamburgers and tator tots. Yummy! After FHE for his birthday treat we had Krispy Kreme Donuts and Chocolate milk, no cake for him :0 Throughout the evening he received several phone calls from Grandma Holmstead, Aunt Lacey, Aunt Lindsay and Lindsay Ann, and Uncle Cade-We have the bestest family ever!! A Wonderful day to turn 11!
