Henry receives the highest award given in the Cub Scout Program: The Arrow of Light
Eric and I were invited to come up with Henry to receive his award. He was given the Arrow of Light patch for his Boy Scout Shirt and I was given a mother's pin representing his award. Henry had an amazing scout leader, Brother Waln, who really made it happen!
After receiving the award he was invited to cross over the bridge from the Cub Scout program into the Boy Scout program. Another great leader, Brother Shaffer, met him on the other side as his new scout leader. He asked Henry to tie a square know which represents "joining."

Brother Shaffer then presented Henry with a leather thong to put his beads on for weekly uniform checks. He then talked about Henry's first campout and his experience. Henry got all teary talking about what happened to Oliver getting burned. Henry is a tender heart-such a GREAT kid!

They concluded by giving him a Boy Scout kerchief and this beautiful Arrow of Light award that his leader, Brother Waln, made. It is beautiful! Henry has had such a great experience with scouts and there is more to come...
